I worked at Einstein Bros. Bagels for three months, where I gained valuable experience in a fast-paced food service environment. My responsibilities included:
Dropping and toasting bagels
Acting as a line cook and preparing various food items
Making a variety of drinks for customers
Cleaning and maintaining the store
In this role, I developed strong teamwork skills and became adept at handling multiple tasks efficiently. This experience helped me understand the importance of customer service and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for guests.
Ebek Calicut
At Ebek, an institute offering training and assessments for OET and IELTS exams, I worked for over a year on Saturdays, from 7 AM to 7 PM. My roles included:
Acting as an invigilator during exams
Handling registration of candidates
Performing security duties when needed
This job honed my organizational skills and attention to detail, as I was responsible for ensuring the smooth conduct of exams and maintaining a secure environment. The long hours and varied responsibilities taught me the value of dedication and reliability.
TCS ION Digital Zone Exam Center Calicut
I served as a contract employee at the TCS ION Digital Zone Exam Center in Calicut for almost a year. My duties included:
Invigilating during bank tests and other exams
Performing security duties
Conducting physical ID verification of candidates on-site
This position required a high level of responsibility and integrity, as I was entrusted with maintaining exam security and verifying the identity of numerous candidates. The role enhanced my ability to manage large groups and adhere to strict protocols.
Grace Times and Electronics
My first part-time job was at Graces Times and Electronics, an electronics shop, where I worked during my summer holidays from morning to evening. As a sales staff member, I:
Assisted customers with their purchases
Provided information about various electronics products
Managed the cash register and handled transactions
Working at Graces Times and Electronics introduced me to the retail environment and customer service. It was a great opportunity to develop my communication skills and learn about sales techniques and product knowledge.
