MUAC SUMMER EXTERNSHIP

During my externship at Meadows Urquhart Acree & Cook, LLP in July 2024, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the day-to-day operations of a CPA firm. I participated in project simulations that allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios, enhancing my understanding of accounting processes. I received mentorship from both partners and staff, gaining valuable insights into how they advanced their careers within the firm. This experience also offered me the chance to build professional connections while networking with my peers and the firm’s professionals. Additionally, I gained a deeper understanding of the firm’s culture and learned essential tips on how to succeed as an accounting student. It was a rewarding experience that not only strengthened my professional skills but also allowed me to give back to the community through a service project.
